Harvest Party 2017 was another smashing success! Close to 300 patrons came out to the EagleVail Pavilion to celebrate the fall wine harvest and enjoy delicious light bites prepared by 12 of the Vail Valley’s top restaurants! Guest mingled about enjoying delicious appetizers ranging from specialty pizzas by Gondola Pizza and Pork in a Poke by Moes BBQ to Pork Belly & Peaches by foodSmith and Charred Octopus Tacos by Sweet Basil. With over 40 wines being poured it wasnt hard to find one to wet the pallette and compliment the divine eats. 7 Moons Blend was a people pleaser along with Gruet Sparkling Wine. Steven with 10th Mountain Whisky showed off their full line of spirits including Alpenglow a lovely vanilla. peach, sage cordial. The exceptional music trio “BLT”, Tony Gulizia, Brian Loftus and Grammy award winning Saxophonist Bob Rebholz rocked the crowd and got the joint jumping! What a treat to enjoy the hoppin tunes from these talented guys! Priceless! The wine ring toss is always a popular stop on the Harvest Party fun train. Guests get three chances to toss a ring and hopefully land on the neck of a bottle of wine. One super happy guy went home with a magnum of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. Not bad for a $10 investment. As always guests ended the night with a sweet nibble of dessert provided by the valley’s most famous pastry chef, Shawn Smith owner of Mountain Flour. Shawn served up Bourbon Butterscotch and Lemoncello Gelato ice cream cones as well Gluten-Free chocolate cake! Although the wine and food always get top billing at this event, nothing compares to the time spent catching up with old friends from up and down the valley.
