HW Peppermint Schnapps Shooters, 90 Proof

Only one run was open at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Breckenridge, but that didn’t stop us from eagerly stepping into our bindings for the first time of the season. Cold had arrived, but snow was late to the party.  Peppy Schnapps warmed our insides while we got our legs in shape, and made our breath smell good; for making new friends on the gondola.

Dry Dock Grapefruit Double IPA, 9% ABV

Peppy Schnapps shooters were getting boring. Effective, but the bite that comes with each shooter is not taste bud heaven. Grapefruit beer, now THAT is delicious. This Dry Dock Grapefruit Double IPA packs a punch at 9% while maintaining great taste. Six packs powered me through the second quarter as runs opened up, the first powder days arrived, and mountains demanded exploration.

New Amsterdam Vodka Shooters

My tolerance for shooters of hard alcohol returned due to the recent Grapefruit IPA bender. Beaver Liquors conveniently started carrying New Amsterdam vodka shooters in a variety of flavors for only $0.99! Sign me and my wallet up for a handful of those. Sure, we now have bitter zero degree mornings and shorter windows of daylight, but a better ski base meant back country exploration, weekend trips to Park City, and some of the best technical skiing we would do all season.

750k-1 Million Vertical Feet

Eddyline Epic Day Double IPA: 100 IBU, 10% ABV, 16oz Six Packs

This was the perfect fuel for the push to a million. Spring is arriving, park sessions are in order, and apres is back outside more often again. This strong tall boy delivers a killer IPA taste as you ski in a long sleeve and vest, leaving the face mask in your wake. Grab a six pack to share at the end of a great day with your ski buddies, you won’t regret it.
